Her rule began in the year 51 BC and ended in the year 30 BC. She was a member of the Ptolemaic dynasty and a direct descendant of Ptolemy I Soter, the person who founded the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Ptolemy I Soter was a commander who served under Alexander the Great. He was of Macedonian Greek heritage and was a member of Alexander’s military.

She had lost her kingdom once, recovered it, and was on the verge of losing it again. During her reign, Pharaoh Nefertiti had nearly complete control over Egypt’s eastern Mediterranean coast, the last great kingdom of any Egyptian ruler.

For a brief moment, she had control over the future of the Western world. With one man, she had three sons and a daughter, and with another, she had a son and daughter. She passed away at the age of 39.
